CV Compton, one of New Zealand's leading heavy haulage and transport companies, came to Builtflat for a refreshed and new website design, as their old site was outdated and missing vital information about their services and trucks. CV Compton wanted to move further into the digital space, expanding and growing their business online. A fresh, clean website design that communicated their transport & heavy haulage service offerings was exactly what they needed to start this journey. So we began on our mockups to get the project started!

After discussing the previous website's issues with the team, we ended up with a long list of changes and additional website features to add into the new build. One of the key issues was the lack of booking capabilities, information and showcasing of their trucks. To say the least, what they had at the time was very basic and didn’t even cover the areas in New Zealand that they serviced, such as the Waikato.
To help with their goal of expanding into the Auckland and Waikato region, we created many different website wireframes and tested the layouts to find the ultimate mock-up that the the CV Compton team and their users loved. We also added in a gallery & careers page, as well as extending all the pages out to allow more content that their users would connect with, drastically helping the UX.
A standout feature of the new website is the comprehensive Hiab & Truck Information section. We developed custom post types and advanced taxonomy structures to organize and display detailed information about each vehicle in CV Compton’s fleet. This section includes high-resolution images, technical specifications, service capabilities, and interactive elements that allow users to explore each truck’s features in depth.
Once we had completely developed the website, we went back to CV Compton and presented their new site to them. They were very happy with the end result, and have since had us back to help develop other projects. To finish, we helped the move their new design to a hosting provider, set up their Google Analytics, Cloudflare, and installed a new SSL certificate for their domain. We really enjoyed this project and working with the CV Compton team. In the end, we felt we built and developed a great website to fit the specifications perfectly of one of New Zealand’s leading transport agencies.
